  • RATE
    MIC Rent-A-Car offers daily, weekly, monthly, and special discount rates (via coupons and discount codes offered to return customers). A one day minimum charge is incurred on all rentals. Each 24 hours, or any part of 24 hours is considered a day. After a 24-hour period, an extra hours charge will apply until the hourly charge exceeds the daily rate or extra day charge. When the hourly charge exceeds the daily or extra day charge, the daily or extra day charge will be applied. Hourly charges will appear on the rental agreement as "Hourly."

  • VEHICLE MAKE & MODEL & COLOR
    We will always try to give you a specific color or model of car, but we cannot guarantee that a specific car will be available. You will however get the correct car in the car class or similar you reserved.
  • HOURS OF OPERATION
    Monday to Saturday 8:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M.
    Sunday 8:00 A.M. -6:00 P.M.
  • AFTER HOURS
    We have 24 hrs drop-off, please ask fro the nearest location when you pick-up. Your rental vehicle, shuttle bus services is also provided.
  • AGE
    21 years of age to 24 years of age incur a $10.00 per day underage fee.
  • MINIMUM NOTICE RESERVATION
    During Holiday periods and weekend periods, reservations must be made at least 72 hours before pick up time in order for your reservation to be valid. Also please note that even if you make a reservation and the computer sends you a reservation confirmation, there is the chance that you will not be able to pick up the vehicle you selected at the time you reserved. This is due to customers before you who might be extending their rental without notifying us. In order to guarantee your vehicle you must call us with a credit card deposit during weekend and holiday period. If you wish to confirm your reservation please call us at 1-888-289-6204 with your deposit. Especially if you wish to reserve within less than 72 hours of your pick-up time, we must have this policy due to the extremely high demand for vehicles during the peak seasons of the year. We cannot guarantee your weekend or holiday reservation if you reserve within less than 72 hours prior to pickup and did not call in with a deposit on your credit card. In order to confirm, please call us and leave a credit card or cash deposit. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
  • CANCELLATION
    A cancellation fee may apply if an unwanted reservation is not cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the reserved pick-up time or if the customer fails to pick the vehicle up. To avoid this fee, please cancel at least 48 hours in advance. On no-show, the first day of rental or required deposit will be charged to client's credit card. Please cancel reservation at least 48 hours prior to anticipate arrival. Reservations that are not cancelled by the customer are automatically cancelled 2 hours after the expected arrival time and cancelled 1 hour after the expected arrival time during peak seasons. Reservations may be cancelled online, by calling 1-800-000-0000 or through your travel agent.
  • DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS
    For cash rentals or debit card 2 forms of id, pay stub, and utility bill are needed. Cash deposits vary depending on the vehicle you are renting. The minimum cash deposit is $250.00 plus the estimated rental quote. For credit card rentals the minimum deposit is $100 to reserve a vehicle. Most regular vehicles (compact, midsize, full-size) have a $100 reservation deposit. An authorization will be taking on your credit card. Your credit card will no be charge until you return the vehicle. If the rental contract is longer than the expiration date of your authorization your credit card will be charge before expire. The following are accepted for deposit: Debit Card, Traveler's Check, VISA, Master Card, AMEX, Discover, Diners Club, Carte Blanche.
  • DEBIT CARDS
    MIC Rent-A-Car is pleased to accept any debit card with the MasterCard or Visa logo on it. We DO NOT accept prepaid credit cards. We require an "authorization hold" equal to either (1) your estimated rental charges plus 20%; or (2) $300, whichever is greater excluding luxury and exotic cars. When you rent with a debit card, you must have this amount available in the bank account associated with your debit card at the time of rental, and this amount will be "blocked" or unavailable for your use during the entire term of your rental. If you extend your rental, or fail to return the vehicle on time, we will obtain additional authorization on your account, which will further block access to funds in the bank account associated with your debit card. When you return the vehicle, MIC Rent-A-Car will process your actual rental charges on the next business day. Your bank will then release any difference between our "authorization amount" and the actual rental charges. The time it takes to release this additional authorization depends on your bank and is beyond the control of MIC Rent-A-Car. USING ANY OTHER METHOD OF PAYMENT UPON RETURNING THE VEHICLE (including cash or other credit/debit cards) WILL DELAY THE RELEASE OF AUTHORIZATION AMOUNTS BY YOUR BANK. Please also remember that you authorize MIC Rent-A-Car to charge the debit card presented at the time of rental for any additional charges authorized by your Rental Agreement, including drop charges, unpaid parking tickets or traffic violation tickets, etc. according to the terms of your Rental Agreement. We may charge these amounts on your debit card without obtaining any additional permission from you. MIC Rent-A-Car ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY BANK CHARGES OR OTHER CHARGES INCURRED BY YOU BECAUSE OF AUTHORIZATION HOLDS BLOCKING ACCESS TO FUNDS IN THE BANK ACCOUNT ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR DEBIT CARD OR CHARGES PLACED ON THE ACCOUNT AS AUTHORIZED BY YOUR RENTAL AGREEMENT.
  • EQUIPMENT
    Child Seats -- Florida State Law Requires Infants and Children to be in a safety car seat unless they are 4 years old or 40 pounds. Seats are not guaranteed - First Come First Serve, usually /$5.00 per day. GPS $14.95 per day
  • GAS
    You may return the vehicle with the same amount of gas as you receive it, (this is usually a full tank of gas), and receive no additional charges. However, if you fail to return the vehicle without the proper level of fuel, a charge of $4.95 per gallon will apply in addition to your estimated charges. So, please check your gas level before returning the vehicle.
  • GEOGRAPHIC
    The rental vehicle cannot be driven out of the state of Florida unless it is specifically allowed by the rental location. (You will need to get written approval from the manager, and an unlimited miles program might or might not be available, depending on the type of vehicle. We want to make sure that you get the proper vehicle with roadside assistance for your long journey outside the state. We will be able to create a special mileage program just for you. Any vehicle with excessive mileage may be subject to a mileage charge without a limited mileage program.
  • INSURANCE
    CDW (Collision Damage Waiver). Collision Damage Waiver is NOT insurance. Renters that opt for this coverage eliminate their financial responsibility for damages incurred while renting a vehicle as long as the terms and conditions of the rental agreement have not been violated. If CDW. is declined, the client accepts full responsibility for any and all loss of and, damage, of the vehicle regardless of who is at fault. The renter is fully responsible for all tire, wheel, and hubcap damage during the rental. Whether the tire and wheel were damaged by road hazard, driver error, or even a blowout, the renter will be held responsible and charged for any expenses to repair the vehicle or replace the tire or related components. If towing is necessary, the renter is also responsible for all towing expenses. CDW does not cover tires, blowout, wheels, hub caps, glass, towing. CDW prices vary by car class. Please refer to the rental agreement, rental jacket, and any other underlying policies for complete details on the terms and conditions. Collision Damage Waiver is available for $19.99 per day and up.
    SLI (Supplemental Liability Coverage). Supplemental Liability Coverage provides protection for claims against the renter or any authorized driver for injury/death or property damage up to $1,000,000. This is protection for third party claims. The cost of this coverage can vary depending on car class. Supplemental Liability Coverage is available for $12.99 per day and up. Please check with your insurance agent for more detail if you have any coverage.
  • DECLINING INSURANCE
    For an additional charge there will be optional vehicle protection available to cover the renter’s financial responsibility for damage or loss to the vehicle. This coverage, CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is optional and may be declined. There are several options that you might have. Many credit cards today give car rental insurance at no charge. Your own automobile policy from home might also cover car rentals. It is wise to call these institutions and inquire if you have car rental insurance. If you do have this insurance, then you do not and should not purchase insurance from us. But if you have a debit or bank card, these cards DO NOT cover car rentals. Also 15,12 Passenger vans, Full size SUV's, and some sports cars are NOT covered by any credit cards. If you rent anyone of the above vehicles and do not supply your own insurance, you will be required to purchase CDW insurance in order to reduce your exposure to extreme potential losses. If you need further explanation, we will gladly discuss it with you.
  • PAYMENT
    American express® • carte blanche® • Diner's club international® • discover® • MasterCard® • optima® • visa® Traveler's Checks, the imprinted name on the credit card must match exactly with the name on the driver’s license of the renter. The credit card must be in the immediate possession of the renter, no credit card information will be taken over the phone or any other method. Debit cards and cash rentals will require a 200-500.00usd deposit plus the estimated car rental charges. When a Debit or Check Card is used for the rental, the full rental fee is charged up front.
  • DROP OFF & PICK UP SERVICE
    At MIC Rent-A-Car we offer drop-off and pick-up service. We can deliver your vehicle to you during business hours. To the Airports, Hotel, Home, office, or other pre-arranged location. The charge for this service is determined by what vehicle we are delivering and of course the delivery location. So please call us as soon as you know your deliver time and date and we will discuss the cost and requirements needed for this service. Also there is a fee assessed for renting a car at one rental location and returning it to a different rental location. • The cost of this fee varies depending on drop location and time of year. Airport pick-up and drop-off has additional fees.
  • RULES
    The renter must have in his/her immediate possession a valid and current driver’s license issued by his/her respective department of motor vehicles from any country. In order for the license to be valid, it must pass the following: • The license must not be expired. • The license must match the renter who is renting the vehicle. • If the license uses a P.O. Box as an address, a physical address must be supplied upon renting the vehicle. • The name on the driver’s license must match exactly the imprinted name on the credit card. Same State Renters For renters who are renting a vehicle within the state of Florida, the following policies apply: • 100 free miles per day - $0.30 each additional mile. • Minimum Age 21. • No specialty cars* Must have proof of full coverage insurance. • If proof of full coverage is not presented, it is our policy that the renter purchase CDW and SLI. No other persons are permitted to operate the rental car without prior approval and such person or persons appear at time of car rental with a valid driver’s license from any country. No one under 25 is allowed to drive a 15 passenger van at any time. Anyone not listed on the rental agreement is NOT allowed to drive the vehicle. No one with a driving lerner's permit is allowed to drive any rental vehicle. Additional drivers can only be added to the rental agreement at the time of vehicle pickup and cannot be removed until the vehicle is returned.
  • INTERNATIONAL DRIVERS
    International drivers welcome. Yes we DO ACCEPT foreign driver’s license from many countries, and of course all international licenses are accepted. Please bring your passport and call us if you have any concerns.
  • DRIVERS LICENSE CHECK
    You need to know that we reserve the right to electronically check the (first time) renters' drivers’ license. The only information we are able to access is DMV information which is public knowledge. There is a slight charge for this procedure. Depending on the state, the charge can be $3-6.
  • SHUTTLE
    Additional Shuttle service is provided- call for hours of operations at different locations.
  • ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
    2 additional drivers permitted. A surcharge of $ 9.00 applies per day (per additional driver). Minimum Age for Additional Drivers: 21. Additional driver fees apply at all MIC Rent-A-Car locations. If the additional driver is under the age of 25, he/she will also be assessed the daily under-age fee unless prohibited by state law. Additional drivers must also meet the same requirements as renter.
  • PET HAIR, DIRT, AND ODOR
    Our policy is clear and simple. No one wants to sit in a car that has pet hair or odor in it. So please do not carry dogs or cats in the vehicle. If you must, then cover the area where your pet is going to be. If the vehicle comes back with pet dirt or odor, You WILL be charged an additional charge for cleaning and deodorizing the vehicle. The charge is a minimum of $50. Please be considerate. Thank You
  • CIGARETTES SMELL/BURNED
    Our vehicles are none smoking, “No EXCEPTIONS“ If we detect cigarettes smell, ashes and burns you will be charged accordingly.
  • SPECIAL SERVICES
    We'll pick you up from your home, office or hotel in the local area. We do offer local pickups and drop-offs to and from local airports. Drivers: For special occasions and events we'll provide you with a driver of your choice for a minimal fee.

  • EXTENSION OF RENTAL
    Cars are due back at the date/time specified on the rental agreement. Failure to provide advanced notification (24 hrs) of the intent to extend the rental period attracts a fee of $45.00 Only the renter is allowed to extend an open contract. If you choose to extend your rental, additional funds must be available on your credit card to cover the rental time requested. In the event funds are not available or a payment cannot be made a request for extension will be denied and the rental vehicle must be returned on the original return date and time. Cash renters must make an additional payment for deposit at MIC Rent-A-Car to extend. If the renter decides to extend the rental period to a new date past the original return date on the rental agreement, this will automatically void any special pricing or rate that was associated with the original rental length, and the normal printed price sheet rental rate will then be applied to the total rental time starting from the first day of the original rental agreement. In other words; for example; if the renter was given a 2 day special price that included a certain % discount, and then decided to extend the rental to 5 days, then the % discount will no longer be valid and the total rental will be calculated by the regular printed price sheet price. Any exception must be given by the manager in writing
  • MANAGEMENT (WE ARE FLEXIBLE)
    In some cases when renting a car, the customer might have needs or concerns regarding one or more of our policies. This is understandable. So, at MIC Rent-A-Car we are here to help. One of the Owners or Managers is always available to speak with you and if need be override or change a policy to meet your needs. Your satisfaction is our concern.
